Ghajnsielemfest ’16 and other feast celebrations

The Ghajnsielem Local Council contributed towards the feasts’ activities by organising Ghajnsielemfest on two separate nights. The first night was characterized by a concert by D Capitals band and the singing of Charles Buttigieg on Thursday 18th August.  On Sunday 21st August, Ghajnsielemfest catered to a local talent show.  Various local singers and dancers performed for this evening.  The main guests among others were the Junior Eurovision Winner Destiny, Deborah C, Albert-Lauren and Loredana Agius, Virgo Lauretana Choir and others.

Other activities concerning the Council’s collaboration were the traditional barbeques known as Ta’ Fuq il-Ghajn which is organised by the same resident of Triq Ta’ Fuq il-Ghajn and open for all Ghajnsielem residents.

The main features of this year’s feast were the popular band march known as Tal-Balzunetta. This year this march was officially confirmed by Malta Records as being the largest single gathering with same clothes in one place.

Feast’s Eve celebrations this year ended up in style with an audiovisual show. A video feature togheter with a pyro music show calle “Sinfonia del Sol” was displayed infront of the two main clubs.  This event was also held with the Council’s collaboration.

The feast activities and celebration came to their end on Sunday with the procession of Madonna ta’ Loretu.
